Prince George’s County Gateway Arts District

Formed in 2001, the area is an artistic enclave replete with restaurants, coffee houses, local and regional theaters, galleries and entertainment, arts and crafts stores, designers, and art supply stores that support an extend the influence and economic vitality of the artists’ community.
The Gateway Arts District is comprised of the four municipalities of Hyattsville, North Brentwood, Brentwood, and Mount Rainier along US Route 1.
Directions and Parking
The Gateway Arts District is located along Baltimore Ave/US Route 1. The Arts District runs along Rhode Island Avenue (beginning at Eastern Avenue) turning into Baltimore Avenue and ending at Oglethorpe Street on the east side; it tailors Baltimore Avenue to Madison Avenue on the west side. There’s quick access to the MARC train, two Green Line stations, and several bus lines to Mount Rainier.
